There'll be a hot time this Sunday - in Arlington, Texas!
For those of us not able to get Super Bowl tickets we'll be glued to the TV at 6:30PM watch the Packer beat the Steelers! Go Pack Go!
But is that why you watch? Reaserchers say that 50% of people that watch the Super Bowl just want to see the commercials! And some years, the commericals are more interesting than the game.

Ski by Candlelight
If you like to cross-country ski, the weather lately has been cooperating and many trails have been open and folks have been getting out and enjoying the white winter scene.
This Saturday you can get out and ski at night - by candlelight! Four events are being held around the state so you can enjoy the trails in the tiny firelight glow.
The Lake Kegonsa State Park Candlelight Ski in Stoughton will be January 8th (with a second event February 12th) from 6PM-9PM. Enjoy the 2 mile trail through woods and prairie then warm up by the bonfire. Grills will be available or you enjoy drinks and baked goods provided by the LKSP Friends Group. Sorry, no pets, and a park admission sticker is required.
You can head to Wildcat Mountain State Park in Ontario January 8th from dusk to 9PM for a Candlelight Ski on 1.5 miles of cross-country trail. You'll find a bonfire at the midpoint waiting to warm you, then a cup of hot chocolate when you finish. If you wish to cookout there will be a hot grill and bonfire available. For more fun spend some time looking at the stars through telescopes with Professor Bob Hirschy and John Heasley.
Mirror Lake State Park in Baraboo is hosting a Ski, Snowshoe and Hiking event by Candlelight January 8th (with a second event February 5th) from 6PM to 8PM. They have two 1-mile loop trails which will be lit for the evening, along with two bonfires when you need to warm up. The Friends of Mirror Lake will have brats, hotdogs, goodies, hot chocolate and more available for sale. It's a free event but a Wisconsin State Park sticker is required on all vehicles.
In Delafield ski or hike a one mile candlelit trail at Lapham Peak Unit - Kettle Moraine State Forest on County Road C January 8th (also January 15th and Febrary 12th) from 6PM-9PM.
