Ciclovia

Have you heard of Ciclovia?

Ciclovia (spanish for bike path) began in Bogota, Columbia as a way to create non-motorized traffic awareness, and has become a weekly event. Every Sunday 70 miles of city streets are closed and around 2 million people head out and bike or walk. This community activity has inspired many events world wide, including Ciclovia Wisconsin.

Stevens Point will be filled with bikers and walkers Saturday September 22nd, who will be following a seven mile trail around the northside of the city. Please note no roads will be closed, so be mindful of traffic when walking or biking along the street. There will be "Active Rest Stops" along your way with free Zumba and Yoga classes, a Kids Zone, vendors, free bike maintenance and much more. This is a free family event sponsored by UWSP Adventure tours.
